Seed bomb

Monday’s NPR story on guerilla gardening made me laugh out loud during my commute. The best is when the interviewer talks about seed bombing as being on the “anarchic fringe of horticulture.”

There are great pictures of the London underground gardening (only a slight pun intended…) at the Guerilla Gardener’s site.

There’s even more about guerrilla gardening at Primal Seeds and This Garden Is Illegal.

This is the kind of guerilla activity and “bombing” I can get behind.

Great stuff, ain’t it? I keep looking for places I can “bomb.”

And now that I’ve written that, the FBI’s probably going to show up on my door. Sigh. It’s just flora, guys. Just flora.

Guerrilla gardening is really an interesting subject. If you are simply trying to help a neighbor or clean up a neighborhood than its hard to see the harm in it.
