So a zucchini walks in to see a talent agent…

We are growing a single zucchini plant, and we have been warned that this plant is destined to yield “zucchinis the size of your arm,” according to Tom, our upstairs neighbor.

The night after we dug in the garden, I planted three eggplant seedlings, as well as one cucumber plant and one zucchini plant. The zucchini came with a tag that said it was the Aristocrat Zucchini.

"Ta da!" I said as I mounded earth around the seedling.

"What?" Steve asked.

“The aristocrat!” I said. I will henceforth think of it as the dirtiest plant in our garden.
