I went out to water the garden this morning, and things look substantially different than they did two weeks ago:

The zucchini continues to explode, although Steve discovered this week that it’s more fragile than it appears from its brutish size—apparently the stems out to the leaves are hollow. Still, it’s growing quickly, and Steve caged it so it has something to climb on as it gets taller. The picture below shows where it stood this morning next to where it was just one week ago:

An ant tooled around on one of the zucchini leaves while I was out there. He was not amused by the digital camera, and, in this picture, fled the paparazzi:
