Curlicue

When I saw this Saturday afternoon, I rejoiced, once again, that we kept the cucumber plant around a little longer.

Yesterday morning, I went back out to check on things, and that curled-up vine had already stretched itself out into a long, straight extension, so I’m glad I caught the photo when I did. It’s just another reminder of how quickly things are changing and growing out there.

Now the plant’s producing these adorable little baby cukes. Oh, yes, little cukes. You, too, will grow up to be real cucumbers. And then you will become salad.
