Back in June, Tricia of As the Garden Grows started a weekly blog event: Green Thumb Sunday.
“I’m creating this meme for gardeners or gardener wanna be’s, house plant enthusiasts, and nature lovers. All you need to do to participate is post a picture on Sunday of a plant in your yard or that you are growing, a landscape or nature scene.”
I’d been thinking about adding one post each week that was primarily a photo post, but it wasn’t until this weekend, when I finally lifted my blog-head up, looked around, and noticed Tricia’s event, that I decided to make that happen.
Without further ado…here are the flowers blooming atop our White Icicle Radish greens:
I guess I should have known radishes could bloom…but I’ll admit that never occurred to me until this afternoon. These little blossoms were a fun surprise on a cold and windy day.
Gardeners, plant and nature lovers can join in every Sunday. Visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

I can’t remember what type of radishes I grow most often … but I think mine have white flowers on them when they start to get older. Nice photo, the buds are very pretty.

Thanks, Tricia! It was so strange to see new flowers when it’s been so cold.

Guppyman and Deb, it’s amazing the things the garden teaches, huh? I really like the little flowers…they’re probably going to take a serious hit in the cold, though. It’s pretty frigid here!
