Carol, I think the lavender has had (as have I) about enough of this cold, snowy weather. I'm hoping she was talking about shooting pictures. And I'm glad I don't have any similar neighbor boys...we would definitely have words. Not nice words, either.

She's talking about shooting pictures? I thought she was considering using them for target practice! I had some neighbor boys who liked to pick ripe tomatoes and throw them against my shed to see the splatters. We put a stop to that!

That lavender looks cold!

Oh, Mrs. Lifecruiser, you should never shoot your tomatoes. Eat them, yes, but shoot them, no. They're much too valuable to be shot.

(Note for those who don't pick up on the gentle teasing...I'm kidding! I know she's talking about shooting them with a camera!)

As frozen as I am... Sadly enough... I long for the day when I'm able to shoot or eat sun grown tomatoes... what a taste.

Lydia, I love it when plants are coated with ice. As long as the ice doesn't break off and kill the plant, it's so beautiful! I took this picture a couple of weeks ago, actually, and now that lavender plant is almost completely mounded up with snow. We're supposed to get some melting this week, though...maybe it will re-emerge!

My lavender is coated with ice this morning. Not frost, but ice, at least half an inch thick! It looks lovely with the first rays of the sun hitting it.
