It's amazing what I'll do for a good tomato.

How wonderful to see those green shoots! I actually grew some garlic in a pot over the winter — we snipped the tender shoots to include in salads and such. Hopefully, it’ll produce a head. It’s been more a fun experiment than garden project, I guess. :)

Nancy, I’d love to hear how that garlic turns out — if it actually works in the pot. That’s a very interesting experiment!

I’ve never heard of growing it in a pot. Something new to try!
Happy GTS,

I don’t have much luck with garlic. I try it every year, different methods, different planting times, different soil. It never works for me! hmmm

Matron, that’s very strange — does it grow other places in your zone?

Woohoo! So glad to see something green sprouting up there. Maybe spring has finally come to Iowa!

Katie, that’s a good idea — I’ve always been loathe to pull my garlic early, but I think I’m going to do that this time around, at least with a couple of them.
