Tyson Foods spotlights hunger challenge bloggers

Last week, Tyson Foods delivered its promised food donation to the San Francisco Food Bank. A huge thank you to all of you who went over and posted a comment to help maximize that donation — your work did, indeed, pay off.

Tyson has also posted a video with Amy Sherman of Cooking with Amy and Gayle Keck of the San Francisco Food Bank, who talked about the Hunger Challenge during that donation event last week. Here it is:

Those of us who participated are scheduled to meet with the Food Bank tomorrow over lunch to talk about our thoughts on living on $21 for a week. Stay tuned — I’ll post more on that tomorrow after the event.

Thanks so much for what you and all of the Hunger Challenge bloggers did–and what you continue to do–to create awareness for the issue of hunger. It was amazing, inspiring and humbling to watch the community come together around your efforts.

Ed, thanks for your donation — you guys are going to make a lot of difference in people’s lives!

Tom, thanks for your comment — there are many sides to any issue, but in this case, I’m choosing really to focus on the good things Tyson is doing to fight hunger in this country. I think that’s really important.
