If you’re planning a dinner out in San Francisco tonight, I humbly suggest that you pick from a list of 13 restaurants taking part in Dine Out Against Hunger. They will all donate up to 10 percent of tonight’s dinner sales to the San Francisco Food Bank, which supplies more than 600 food programs throughout the city.
Participating Dine Out Against Hunger restaurants include
- Maverick
- A16
- Americano
- Andalu
- Caffe Sociale
- Delfina
- Destino
- Incanto
- Kuleto’s
- Magnolia
- Range
- Serpentine
- Slow Club
- SPQR
Maverick will also take 10 percent off the tab for any customers making an additional donation to the Food Bank.
In the meantime, it managed to slip right past my attention (probably because I’m so behind in listening to my downloaded podcasts), but the November 22 edition of KCRW’s Good Food featured Gayle Keck of the San Francisco Food Bank talking about The Hunger Challenge! You can listen to the podcast at KCRW’s website—the segment starts approximately 42:30 into the hour-long show.
