Go for the green

I’ve been spending a lot of time on Flickr lately, engrossed in a project to use my camera as a visual journal of 2009, and the site recently introduced the Flickr Clock, which provides narrow bands of color plucked from videos uploaded to the Flickr Clock group, and arranges them along a running timeline to give users a sense of what videos other members are uploading.

It’s been awfully grey and rainy here this week, and so that’s probably why, the few times I have checked out the clock, bright bands of green have jumped out at me. This led me discover a Zen-like video of grass blowing in the wind, a too-cute video of a laughing girl and her dog (also on grass), and my favorite, a caterpillar eating a basil leaf.

Subsequent exploration of the basil leaf incident yielded the information that the perpetrator was summarily executed. This, of course, is a course of action from which I have already proved myself not one to shy away.

I too love going to flickr and looking at green things. I’ve been searching for potager garden pics, as I’d love to add a proper potager here at Chiot’s Run.

Chiot’s Run, I bet that would be beautiful (and so very functional)!
