An opportunity for my Oakland peeps

I stopped at Whole Foods in Oakland this evening just to see how much cash I could drop at one time in one place (KIDDING WHOLE FOODS HA HA HA ALSO YOU CAN BE MY SPONSOR NOW!!!), and noticed at the checkout counter that they are current funneling money like a laundering operation to Oakland Based Urban Gardens (OBUGS), a great program that gets kids in the garden and lets them learn what it means to grow something edible.

I might have wanted to infringe on the OBUGS garden space in West Oakland, but no matter, I still think they’re awesome. And therefore I must encourage those of you who are local to, through November 22, take your reusable shopping bags to Whole Payc…I mean, Foods, do a little shopping, put some things in a reusable bag, and donate the bag discount to OBUGS. ‘Cause they’re doing great work and deserve everything we can kick their way.
