Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is spending 2011 doing exactly what I think everyone should do: He’s eating more thoughtfully, more sustainably, and more ethically. In 2011, he’s eating only meat that he kills.
Though I’m certainly happy to take advantage of his product, I have to admit: I could care less what Mark Zuckerberg takes on as his annual self-improvement project. One year, he wore a tie every day. Last year, he learned Mandarin. This year, he’s killing to eat.
Over at BlogHer, I’ve shared my thoughts on the issue. I encourage you to head over there and join the conversation, because while I may not care about Mark Zuckerberg’s latest dealio, I do care deeply about what it could mean for eating well in America.

I think that is awesome…only when you see how your meat is killed by battery farms or if you have seen that secret filming of a kosher farm, will you realize what cruelty the animals are being subjected to.
Go Zucker!!

Nishant, there’s no question that industrial farm practices are horrible and often inhumane to the animals. I’ll agree with you there!

What Zucker does he does. I don’t like cruelty to animals but I think we need to worry about cruelty to people first. After we save those billions of people we can start on helping their pets and farm animals.
